Phase 1 is designed to stabilize your blood-sugar levels and eliminate cravings for sugary foods and refined starches.
This phase will help jump start your weight loss and is for people who have more than 10 pounds to lose.
You'll eat plenty of filling, nutrient-dense foods to satisfy your appetite so you'll never get hungry.
You'll gradually re-introduce other nutritious and delicious foods, including fruits, whole grains, and some additional vegetables.
Your weight will continue to drop steadily (although more slowly than on Phase 1). This is the healthy way to lose weight and keep it off.
Phase 2 lasts as long as it takes for you to reach your weight-loss goal.
At this point in the diet, you understand how to make good food choices and can enjoy any food in moderation.
If you find yourself getting off track or if cravings return, you can go back to Phase 1 or 2.
You'll continue to maintain your weight and healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life.
