Hi Rosemary, I'm Bonnie. I'm not close area wise to you as I live in Oklahoma but I will chat with you anytime you'd like. I was brought up on the East coast, Northern Maine and drove thru New Jersey many times before I married my Okie.
I started on the Beach May 12th, and have lost 17 pounds so far. I'm stalled at the moment but not giving up. This is the easiest program I've ever been on. I find that even if I slip up, I'm able to get right back on the next meal instead of cheating the rest of the day (already blown it so, why not?) like I used to do.
The first two weeks may seem long and limiting but It is so necessary to break the craving carbs and sugar. And it will do that!!
I would encourage you to try some of the recipes, they are really good. Are you adapting your plan or following the online plan? I had to do the adapting, I just can't follow a set plan like that. I'm a good cook and would rather make my own recipes within the guidelines of the program. There is so much food to choose from!
If you are like most of us, when it's time to add the carbs back you'll be a little scared that you'll blow it or gain the weight back that you lost of phase 1. But if you take it slow, you'll still lose and discover which foods sets off carb cravings. Each of us is different where those are concerned.
Take it a day at a time and you'll not only succeed but you'll love the journey.
