Hey We both are from Florida so maybe you could use support from the same State.

Let me know as I am here to motivate and support.

Hi Spider7,

Thank you so much for replying.  I agree, we should support each other specially if we live in the same state.  How old is your baby, how many more do you have?  I have two girls ages 9 and 10.  I signed up for this diet last week but today is really my day one.  My mom lives in NY and I have other family members in Miami, I won't invite anyone over because I don't want them to see me like this, I have a swimming pool and I won't get in it because I am embarrass of the way I look, three years ago I was 45 pounds lighter.  Please advice.

Best regards,

Mayra

My name is Pam and I just signed up today. I'm a 51 year old who has gone up 3 sizes in the last 4 years. I'm short - only 5'1', and I've got 20 pounds to lose.  I'm a carb addict, and after having too much Easter candy this weekend, I decided it's time to get myself together!  I know a few people who have had lots of success with this diet.  It sounds like it helped to get them out of the habit of eating the bad carbs, which is definitely my downfall.  I need a diet buddy to get me through the weekends when I'm weakest!

Welcome Pam, just like you I just started this diet and I am also addicted to carbs.  The first thing I did this weekend was to go shopping for some the ingredients that I will need to prepared some of the foods suggested in phase 1, for snack I just had "Turkey roll ups" I just used mayo, I didn't do the cilantro thing and for lunch I am having a chicken pistachio salad.  I wish I could tell you more, but today is just my first day.  Keep in touch

Best regards,

Mayra

Hi Mayra,

Thanks for responding to my "hello everyone" this morning.  I hope to figure out how to use this site shortly.  Not sure yet how to navigate the message boards, etc.  Once I leave one area, not sure how to get back!  On-line will be a challenge for me.

I've had a hard time dieting for the past few years, so I hope I learn to look at the SB diet as a life-style change.  I'll never be able to eat the bad carbs and keep my weight under control if I don't.  Menopause and bad carbs are not a good combination!  Ha!

Hi Myra and Pam,

I'm a returner to the diet, but I'm realizing that I need to stay here.  I have 25 pounds that I want to lose--I keep losing and regaining the same ten, so I know I need more motivation.  I also want to be able to wear a bathing suit without being embarrassed about how I look and it would be great to be able to do that this summer.  I have been back on the website for about a month, mostly journaling and reading about other's experiences, but I started phase I for real today.

The weather is really starting to warm up here and when I got out my spring clothes, I realized that nothing fits!  I'm hoping to drop at least five pounds in the next few weeks so that I'll have something to wear to work!

Hope the dieting goes well.
