Hi all,

I'm 37, married with no children.  Looking for buddies to cope with the upcoming holidays and beyond.  I was on the beach last year in August.  Took some of the weight off, maintained through the holidays and was going good till I broke my ankle in mid-March.  Had to stay off of my feet as much as I could, had a few pity parties, a couple of boxes of ice cream treats by myself and put the weight back on!  I'm past that and looking forward to shedding the weight again to reach my goal.
I also love to cook and bake.  Would also like to exchange new recipies with anyone.

Chris

Chris,

I'm new to SB, but I am too looking for someone to get through the holidays with.  I"m 37, married and have no children.  I'm a RN and work crazy hours and go to school full time.  This past year I have been on fertility drugs to try to conceive and I got really sick and had to be on bed rest for 8 weeks and then had surgery.  I have gain about 20lbs and I have lost about 5lbs since our last cycle in June but it's been really hard to make the scale move.  I hope that maybe we can be Buddies (lol), it sounded like we could relate to each other.
How did you brake your ankle?

Hi Shawna,

I would be more than happy to be a beach buddy with you.  I'm sorry it took me awhile to respond your message.  I haven't been very faithful to the Beach the past 2 weeks.  Getting back on track isn't as easy as I want it to be.
I broke my ankle on black ice in a hotel parking lot.  Beautiful day, snow piles were melting, mid-March, late afternoon was getting cooler, water on black top was turning to ice and I didn't notice, had moved my vehicle to another parking spot closer to my room after I check in for a florist conference.  Got my luggage out, stepped alongside my vehicle and down I went with three pop, pop, pops when I landed on my lower right leg.  Was really upset, 6 weeks in a walking boot (better than a cast because I could take it off for bathing), and it still bothers me.  UH!  I guess it could have been worse.
Anyways, hope the weight loss is going well with you.

Chris
