Hello,

I'm looking for someone to help me deal with stress and the whole menopause thing.  I'm almost 47 and just starting the menopausal rollercoaster.  In addition, I'm very stressed most of the time.  Not sure if its actually stress or anxiety or maybe a little of both.  I'm acutally considering going to see a therapist so that I can live a little more relaxed.   I'd love to buddy up with someone who has overcome emotional/stress eating to give me some pointers since I can't seem to figure it out.  Everyday I start out doing so well on my eating plan but as soon as I get some I fall so far off the wagon and them beat myself up and eat some more.

Thanks for listening to my whining.

I am going through peri-"mental-pause" and I get that after several years of struggling with deep depression weight gain and craziness my Dr. and I have finally reached a good place with holistic means plus a compounding pharmacist that makes a progesterone cream just for me and now I feel that I can actually lose weight without fear of depression or anxiety. I am 44, and I have 4 kids, 2 are grown and one my oldest son (27) and his wife is expecting our first grandchild, my only daughter (23) is back home with us after graduating college she is still looking for a job as an Interior Designer, and then my boys at home 17 and 8. Life is full and exciting there is much for me to be "fit" for, plus I wouldn't tell anyone this but I am sure my son (17) and my daughter (23) really look down on me for being over weight, this is not the reason to get fit , they have no idea what this has been for me, I do not sit around eating all the time my body literally has the slowest metabolism ever. This diet I am hoping will re-dial that metabolism. What about you?

Hi,
I am 47 years old, married and have 3 sons aged 25,24,18. I work full time as a psychotherapist and I also need to lose 20 pounds. I must admit that I also find myself eating according to my emotions. IThere are occasions when I feel bloated and I am not sure if this is related to the food I eat or hormones

I am 54 and I lost a about 35-40 pounds that I put on from going into menopause. Recently put about 12 of those back on after going through a mastectomy and having to get off my hormones.  I am trying to start back eating in a way that feel stood to my whole body not just my emotional body.
I have a husband and a 16 year old son as well as several horses.  Diane
