Hi everyone,
I just joined yesterday and am looking for a diet buddy.  I'm in the secondweek of phase 1.
I'm 56 years old and my cardiologist recommended this diet.  I've dieted before but the weight always came back.  It's so frustrating!!! I thought maybe having a buddy to chat with would help keep me on track.
I love to quilt so I keep busy as much as possible to keep from eating.  I have to admit though that I'm having less trouble with this diet than any others.  Don't seem to have the cravings as much, except for cereal and oatmeal.  I'm getting a little sick of omelettes for breakfast.  Can't wait for week three!
Hope there's someone out there who wants to chat, abotu anything, not just dieting.

Hi Darlene,

I seem to lose more inches than pounds. I still have a healthy appetite, but I stay away from the sugar and carbs as much as possible. I snack some, but my snacks are usually fruit. I eat all kinds of fruit except, canned fruit and bananas.

I eat lots of grapefruits and apples. I also drink lots of water. I use plenty of equal and splenda.
It is very hard to lose weight because fat is thick and hard to get rid of. I am not going to stop doing what I'm doing. I did the Atkins a long time ago and was very successful.I think the worse foods are the ones with lots of sugar are starch.

Hang in there you'll see a change soon.
