I'm 27 years old, I did the beach a few years back and got success, but was lazy and quit. Been in Phase 1 almost 3 weeks now and was about to enter Phase 2, but my birthday was last weekend and things did not go well sweets wise. I need a buddy to keep me honest! How are you?? I also would like a buddy to keep me honest and to ask for advice. Im started to program today and feel pretty good about it all. Are you on phase 2 yet? How is that going for ya? Oh and Happy Birthday to ya. What are you doing for your workouts?

Just a quick note to let you know that you really should move to Phase 2. Phase 1 is only designed to last 2 weeks, and they don't have to be a perfect 2 weeks. We ALL have slip-ups. Staying in Phase 1 for an extended period makes it harder to lose, actually, because it can slow down the metabolism.
The good news is that the beginning of Phase 2 is almost exactly like Phase 1. We eat the Phase 1 way but add in one small fruit serving and one small starch serving.

What I used to do that I found to be great was just working out at home. I would play My Fitness Coach for Wii, which is a really good workout game and it's since been enhanced to be even more interactive. Plus it's cheaper than the gym! How about you, what is your normal workout routine? Thansk for the birthday wishes also!

I know you are right. I will switch to Phase 2 right now. I guess I was freaking out a bit because I checked the scale and it looked like I'd gained 4 pounds back and of course I'm beating myself up about it. But it could also be that the scale was off to begin with, it's kind of old. I'll keep you posted, thanks so much!
