2010 Summer Shake-Up Challenge
Summer is here! Folks everywhere will be heading to the beaches, heating up their grills, enjoying outdoor activities, or traveling. There’s no better time to re-affirm your commitment to your weight-loss goals and incorporate what you’ve learned on the South Beach Diet with a healthier and more active lifestyle. To help you stay motivated this season, we’re kicking off the 2010 Shake-Up Challenge on Monday, June 21 in the South Beach Diet Community Challenge Message Boards. Each week you’ll be given an assignment that will challenge you to think outside of your go-to recipes, help you learn new cooking techniques, and will encourage you to take your exercise routine to the next level. Here’s the scoop:
How to participate: During this six-week challenge, we’ll be asking you to make over your healthy lifestyle by finding ways to keep your meals interesting with warm-weather cooking techniques and participating in outdoor activities. Every Monday, we’ll give you a mini-challenge to accomplish for the week. Simply post to this folder and tell us about your progress on the weekly assignment. Message Board volunteers and registered dietitians may periodically weigh-in on the assignments to answer any questions you may have. We encourage you to post as often as you can and with photos in our weekly Challenge threads to be eligible to win. Winners will be chosen based on the quality and quantity of their posts when the Challenge ends Monday, August 2, 2010. Check out the official Summer Shake-Up Challenge rules for more information.
Three grand-prize winners will be invited to join us for an exclusive, private teleconference with Dr. Arthur Agatston! The winners will also receive a free month on the site, and a complete library of the South Beach Diet books.
Each week, one participant, who we feel best fulfilled the week’s mini-challenge, will win a copy of the South Beach Diet Taste of Summer Cookbook. We look forward to hearing about your exciting new experiences and summer survival tips!

What a great idea! The timing is fabulous...I can ease back on to the Beach this way. I hit a pleateau, and still need to lose 10 - 15 lbs., and how did I gain all that weight, anyway? Count me in! Sunflower
