I can't seem to figure out how to get into the meeting...every reply I send comes back that I am being booted for making an unauthorized change. This is very frustrating as I really want to participate!

I'm so disappointed!
I really wanted to take part in this challenge, but I'm not availabe during any of the live meeting times. I wasn't even able to find this board until today, so I've already missed the first one, but even if I had known about it, I'm a teacher and I'm in class at that time. I thought at first I might be able to do the one on Friday because schools out at 3:00, but it's at 3:00 eastern time, which is 2:00 here and I'm still in class.
If we can't attend the live meetings, does that eliminate us from the challenge?

No, you are not excluded from the challenge! We are working on an informal "live" thread (no "special guest" -- just one of us volunteers) in the evenings. If that doesn't pan out, you can also post to one or the other of the weekly threads (either the Monday or the Friday one), after the fact. Read through the thread and make a post to share your own successes, challenges, questions, or simple reflections about what you learned by reading through.
Ultimately, it's all about becoming a more reflective eater.... so try to demonstrate those qualities in whatever way you can -- either by doing so during the live conversation (which many of us cannot do due to work commitments) or later on after the "live" component is over -- in fact, I wonder whether reading through the transcript of conversation and then reflecting on the conversation might be even more powerful?

Thanks Linda (I'd noticed on other boards that we share the name -- great name too; means "beautiful" in Spanish and that's what SB will help us be).
I'm a little confused about how these posts work. I added a post to the 2010 folder but it's not connected to the other posts—seems to be a standalone. Also, I missed the first meeting due to work but I guess I thought there would be notification in my email as a reminder. That would be really helpful. Also, I'm not a message board novice but I can't quite figure out how to add a weigh in ticker tape to my posts. Can you briefly point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Unfortunately for me, i wasnt able to join Monday or Fridays meetings. I hope to join Monday's meeting, although I will be at work. Havent been able to upload before photo, i dont think i am diong anything wrong, I get the "Done but with errors on the page" whenever i go to the "...Challenge..." message board. I dont get that with the other boards. Just a thougth to post on the other message boards to see if that works. Anyway i am weighing in at 169 lbs, i want to reduce my LDL and weight down to 130 ponds.

Don't worry if you miss a meeting. Just go to one of the weekly threads, read through them and then post after the "live" portion of the meeting closes. The important thing is to refocus and work the program to get healthy!

I wrote that down to keep it in front of me. This is my first time online and this is great
Keeping my weight constant has never been a problem until the past 10 years and whammo. My health is good though so only have the impetus to look and feel better. I was on Beach last year and lost 12 pounds, the first 12 pounds I had ever lost. I am so grateful for this way of living. My husband also lost weight and is now off his cholesterol med. Thank you beach buddies. CindyO
