I am ready for a new challenge!

I am Joan and I have been following the SB program since the beginning of August. When I first joined SB, I started off with the Fresh Start challenge and really enjoyed it. It gave me the motivation to work toward my goal and introduced me to a number of people who were more than willing to explain the program and give me encouragement along the way. Then I joined the Exercise and Fitness September challenge to help me focus on getting myself moving.

I am looking forward to the next few weeks and I think that we will be able to work together to help and encourage each other.  I joined this team, Healthy Habit Makers, because I want to learn and put into practice healthy habits... eating right, exercising regularly, and taking care of myself.  I know we will have a good time together.

I am happy to be starting another challenge here on the Beach!  I have chosen this team as I would like to continue making healthy habits out of not so healthy habits. Can't wait for the challenge to begin.

Hello~ I'm Teresa. Been doing SB since the begining of the year. I feel like I can one thing going in the right direction and then something else slacks...It as if I haven't created enough of a habit  to remain beachy in all areas. What I hope to get from this challenge is to create healthy habits they stick around for life. Habits are consistant, balanced, and life affirming. I'm excited to see hhow this challenge can bring me closer to my golas!

Good morning, ladies!  I am excited about this challenge and look forward to working with you.  I had previously placed an order for the book, but went back to amazon this morning to take a look at it again If our weekly challenges follow the 7 strategies he has suggested, we should have a great time.

I do need these challenges and your encouragement to stay on track. I am just returning home from a visit to my sister's, where they do not follow a SB plan... result is that this morning I am 2 lbs. heavier than this time last week... But, that is the way life goes  and  I am not feeling badly about it... will just get back to program and lose it! (if I don't see it coming off fast enough, I will go back to Phase 1, but for now I am just going back to what I have been doing)

So, good luck to you all and I am looking forward to learning more about you all.

Hi Joan,

I went to Amazon and read the titles for the 7 strategies and I am hoping that is what we will be doing. Sounds great and I think it will get us all on the right track to keeping Healthy Habits!

joan, you're right in your thinking, just keep on doing what you were doing before your visit with your sister.  dont go back to phase 1, you dont need it unless the cravings are back.  i started back on SB on the 19th, and i am so looking forward to phase 2 on monday for my fruit and starch.  we are all going to come up with some healthy habits to change our lifestyle.  this is going to carry us all the way to goal...  looking forward to getting to know you better  : )

Welcome aboard, Louise! I "met" you last week on the September exercise challenge board. It is good to see you here with us.

Great job on weight loss for your first week back. I had been away for 5 days over the weekend -- 5 stressfilled days, at my sister's where they eat very few veggies!  So, it was not an SB weekend and I came home with a 2 lb gain... very discouraging... But, this morning when I weighed myself, I am down those 2 lbs, so I am back on track!!  I am loving this program!!!

We will have a fantastic time working together; I am looking forward to it.

Well, Louise, I did not have to go back to Phase 1 -- just getting back into the correct way of eating and some time working in my yard did it for me. It has been raining all night and looks pretty dismal outside right now; but I am thinking about heading down to the beach and trying a walk this morning, as long as it doesn't start to pour rain... sprinkles would not be too bad..... after all, most people go to the beach to get wet, don't they??

oh thats where i saw your name before, lol....  im looking forward to the october exercise thread to get me going with moving more..   i just knew those 2 lbs would be gone once you got back in the swing of things.  there are some really good threads going on in this challenge, and i had a hard time deciding which one to join.  i really think healthy habit makers covers most of them, and its one i really want to start........  my first healthy habit is going to be:  to stop looking at that dumb scale except once a week on mondays.  i get so discouraged when i dont see a loss; like this morning, lol..  ive been 100% beachy on phase 1 since monday and the dumb scale was the same even though ive been cleaning house and went walking with my 3 yr old g'daughter yesterday.  like i said............ scale once a week, lol..
