I started SBD a week ago. I have felt so much better already and have lost 10lbs. I know that is a lot so soon and expect it to level off. But, I do want to add back exercise. I was exercising 5-6 days a week - that was over a year ago!! I just can't seem to get on a system of consistency! So, maybe this Challenge will help. I am here to give support and get support! I think it will be fun and helpful!!
LET'S ALL GO FOR IT!!

Today is Monday...the beginning of a week. I am starting off by getting my swim in the pool. The last two days I  have been feeling a lot better, can't believe it. I have felt bad for so long I didn't think I would ever start to feeling half way normal again.

The Challenge has motivated me to keep moving. The eating hasn't been such a problem for me but the exercising has been harder because of my health issues. Some of the folks are so far advanced that it makes me feel kind of inadaquate but I remember when I was like them. I loved running 5k's. Now I am lucky to swim and walk.

I hope everyone has a great day...and I will check in this evening!!!

Hi BeachLover...I sooo love walking on the beach.

I read my post to you again and it sounded like I was going happily to jump in the pool. I had to drag myself.....but just like usual once I got in and moved around a little I felt better. It's not like I did any massive lap swimming...I could only do about 6 laps and not but 2 at a time. Pathetic!!! I can't go to the pool everyday, it's at my mom's 30 miles from me so at home I have the treadmill...and the floor.

Maybe if you started stretching on the floor. That does help me. I get off the couch and start stretching, then I feel a little better and start either doing floor exercises (30 min) or the treadmill. I want to buy one of those big exercise balls..I just need to read up on them.

I have lost more weight but I will stop if I don't exercise. I read in the new SB book that you can loose without exercise if you stay on the diet, but if my weight loss is too slow I will really get discouraged. Remember when you were 20, I do, needed to loose 5 lbs..could drop it in 3 days or less. Of course, I worked at a gym for 11 yrs so yes I had more muscle and only weighed 105. I remember measuring some of the women at the gym and wondered how their thighs got as big as my waist!! Now, I know, it's life. Things happen and we eat. Stress.

So here we are...we are going to reach our goals!!!! We want to live and live feeling great!!! What exercise do you have available to you? Do you have health problems? I can try to help you....

Talk to you soon!!! Frankie

Frankie:
Thank you so much for your support - I have a treadmill, elliptical, weights, bands, wii fit, etc and have been great for about a year and then have been horrible for over a year! I walk my dog in the morning but I need to add cardio, and weights. I don't want my arms, legs and stomach to get flabby as I loose weight. So, Frankie - I am going to start tomorrow and will let you know how I do. I think just having someone to talk to and be accountable to helps.
I have no health problems that prevent me from exercising. It sounds like you do. What are you dealing with?
Thanks for reaching out!

Hi BeachLover,

I do have health problems...been ignoring them. I have fibromyalgia, asthma (it's not bad), something is wrong with my liver. They think it is mono (my son had it). I had 3 seizures the weekend of the 4th...my neurologist says they are stress related. He told me to go on long term disability from work. That was the hardest part...not working, I am only 53, have always worked. So I figured instead of constantly crying for having to give up a job I loved, it was time to focus on me. I will find out the results of the test for my seizures next week and going to a liver specialist next week.

But the weight loss and exercise will improve my health issues and my self esteem. I did walk this morning 45 min...I broke it up in to segments but I finished. Having you to talk to is going to be a huge help. It seems funny opening up to people we don't know, but women seem to adapt for the good of each other. Let me know how you are doing....
