Hi Everyone! Tomorrow is Monday. Are you ready to start a new week? How are you doing with exercise? I know Dr. A says we don't have to, to lose weight, but we've all heard enough about the benefits to know it's good for us. How about if you move 10% more than you did this past week? So, say you didn't walk at all, try to walk 10 minutes. If you walk an hour already, try to shoot for 1 hour and 6 minutes (or an extra 10). How about it? Anybody in? I'm going to get my 3 reg workouts in and I will do something on the off days.

Gosh, i just cant seem to get motivated to exercise. First of all I dont want to. I feel great since joining SBD, went down in a size, and lost 15 lbs thus far. I am pretty busy this week taking care of horses, sheep and dogs and the garden of course all in this 100+ degree weather. I've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks, this is my third and my busiest because i am home doing little projects this week. Wow i've accomplished so much too in the past few days. I wonder if i'll feel like exercising next week when i get back to work?

Thank you for your motivating posts.

I don't like to exercise either. I have a pretty sedentary lifestyle though, and if I don't exercise, I feel it. So, DH and I work out together. We go to our Y (about 15-20 min away), and work out 3x's/week. I'm trying to add something on the off days. But, I'm busy, just not physically like you are. You can count your work with your animals as exercise. Just increasing your activity level, I think, is important. It really helps with seasonal issues (if you live up north--like I do).

Howdy doing,

I like your tickers. I joined the gym so that was a major stride for me. I've been procrastinating for the past 6 months about that. One of the trainers was there when i joined and i told him i wanted to go slow, i dont want to come in and have him kick my you-know-what the first day and i cant breathe and i cant wlak the next day and i.....more whining, you get the idea. Then he agreed with me and said come in for a couple of weeks taking baby steps, then lets get together and i can help move you forward. So that is what i am working on right now. One more week then i am going to move forward...It really helps having someone to work out with. I wish i did, i am working on that. Sounds like it is working good for you.

It is working very well, having an exercise buddy. And starting slow is the best way. I started way slow, and have increased quite a bit, but am stable for a few weeks right now. I will increase again soon, I hope. But yeah, start slow and have success, then expand. It's good that you are working with a trainer. We started with one too. At the Y you get a few orientation, and then you have to pay if you want more sessions. But they introduce you to the equipment and help you get started on weights that are right for you. That sounds like what you are having. Keep at it! I can't say you'll come to love it, but I'll bet you'll get to the point where you'll miss it if you don't go!
