If you’re new to the South Beach Diet — welcome! We want to make your weight-loss journey easy and fun. To help you get acquainted with the diet, check out our Getting Started Guide and the December Starters Club message board, where you'll soon be able to join our Newbie Challenge. Each week, starting Monday, December 5, you’ll be given a mini-challenge to help familiarize yourself with the site and use it as a resource for achieving your goals. At the end of the Challenge, three grand prize winners will receive a free month on the site. See you there!

What a great idea Admin_Richard, I am not new to SB and I sure could have used a challenge like this when I first started.  The Spring walking challenge was how I learned to use these boards, and learned how much support you can get from these boards. 
I do not want to participate in the challenge, but I will for sure be reading all the challenges and posts, I am sure there is something I could learn.

Thanks Richard.. I'm a Nov. Nubee and I'm really stumbling around this website.
I'm still looking for a ticker widget and a commen wall.
I tryed to sign up for Silver Belles but they posted, this site is full find another one.
I never did find one... So I'm hoping to sign up Dec. 5th.

You can absolutely join the Silver Belles - or any of the teams.  The only part that is "full" is that only the first ten people who sign up for a team are eligible for the prizes.  But the best part of the challenge is the support and friendship on the boards, so join whichever team you would like!  I think all of the teams have well over 10 members for that reason!

I'm not really familar with comment walls, but each member (on their profile) does have a wall where they can post comments, or others can post.  The member must have their profile set to be public, and if they do, then you can click on their user name to be taken to their profile.

The ticker is not created on this site, but on any other ticker site and then imported here.  There are some instructions on the main "Message Boards" page - click on "return to message boards" above, and look there for the section called "Great Advice from the Volunteers."

You are welcome to join us on Festive Friends.  As Teresa said you can join any team, just that the first 10 are eligible to win prizes.  We are having a virtual potluck and posting pictures. 
As for tickers, using Internet Explorer you can make a ticker on www.tickerfactory.com and just copy the image and paste it into your signature in My Preferences.
