uploading "before" photo---help, please!

When you're posting a message, look at the section above the field in which you type in your message. There's a group of three boxes with "Insert Item" written above them. The center box is used to insert your image. It will open up a prompt that asks for the URL of your image (the picture must be hosted on another site in order to show up; you can't use a picture that's only on your computer).

I tried that...didn't work. Just got an empty box. Can I use the picture already in my signature for my before pic. It would be the same one anyways as it's the only one I have right now.

Hi there - I only have pictures on my computer - how do I make that into a usable picture to download? Sorry to be difficult, I'm not technologically savvy!

The photo should represent what you look like at the start of this challenge, so if your signature picture fulfills that requirement, it's okay.

You'd need to upload that photo to a photo-hosting site like Photobucket. Once it's on another site, just copy the Web address (the URL) of your photo into the appropriate field here. (Click on the middle box under the heading "Insert Item.")

It sure does...guess I'm safe from figuring it out until the end.

I still can't figure out how to put my picture in on here!! When I click the insert box up top it just pulls up a box that sayse "Image URL.  Can you help me???

Somehow I got my picture in there!!  Don't know how I did it, but I did.

I finally got my photo uploaded but it looks all funny - very tiny box and distorted so that I look like the fat lady in the fat mirror (instead of just the fat lady)!  I noticed that some folks have photos in all different sizes that don't seem distorted and that at least one or two other people have the same type of issue with their posted photos as mine.

Then I figured out how to make a ticker to track weight loss and that too showed up as a tiny little box that was distorted.  I spent several hours trying to do this and over an hour last night trying to do this and it is very frustrating.  I tried using Facebook photos, Mobile Me and finally PhotoBucket.  I had NO problem uploading my profile picture - why can't it be that easy to participate in the challenge?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.  Does it matter that I am using a Mac?

I find the mac much harder to manipulate than my PC. I raid my PC for this site and any work I want to do on my profile or with pics. Someone who is more mac savvy can probably help you better than I can. Sorry.
