- Park your car farther away from the mall entrance so you can log in extra steps.
- Walk in intervals while Christmas shopping or take an extra 20 minutes to walk around the perimeter of the entire mall.
- After a meal, go for a walk with your family and friends to view the Christmas lights and decorations around your neighborhood.
- If you don’t have time to hit the gym, climb your house stairs. Make it a point to climb up and down your stairs an extra 5 times each day. You can also climb the stairs at the office during your lunch break.
- Turn your cleanup routine into a workout. Set a timer on the oven or alarm on your cell phone and see how much you can clean your house before it goes off. Move quickly from room to room and go upstairs to down.
This Week’s Challenge: Brainstorm creative ways you can work out while you’re at the mall, the office, and at home. Let your teammates know how you plan to squeeze in exercise during this busy time of year and how you will stay motivated. Work with your teammates to prepare a workout that will represent your team in the overall mini-challenge. Be sure to incorporate interval exercise and core-strengthening exercises into your workout.
