My weight continues to stay at 228.  So this week I decided to up the exercise.  I have 5 walking videos that also include some strength training, flexibility training, etc.  So this morning I did one of those videos for 40 minutes and then did 25 minutes on my elliptical machine.

Weigh in - this week no change - 167.  My own fault at that since I was away on business and not in total control of the food choices.  I did pretty good and even exercised one day but had more beer as a stress reliever than I would have liked for the week.

Finally!

After 3 weeks on Phase 2, and little or no weight loss after the first 2 weeks (1 lb the 1st week, no loss the 2nd), I'm weighing in at 211, a 3 lb loss from last week and 17 lbs since Jan 4th.

I'm getting in quite a bit of walking, but it hasn't become a routine yet.  I still struggle to find time for it, usually having to not do something else in order to work it in.  I want this to change.

After a plannede walk on the boardwalk for superbowl, I'm up a pound but not worried about it cuz I'm right back on track.  Even my planned boardwalk was nothing compared to the past.  Who knew I'd like baked sweet potato chips so much?  And dips? bean dip and hummus...both much better choices than the old sourcream and mayo of old....

...ok, we won't discuss the 2 beers...

weighing in at 178.5

Well this is the 3rd week in a row for NO change.  I am still at 136.  But, I did a full measurement check and realized that I have lost around 2 inches in my hips.  That's a WOW!  Yesterday I started exercising an additional 1/2 hour at mid-morning.  It's going to be hard to keep up every day. Hopefully an hour or two extra a week will help get the weight loss moving again.  I really wanted to be in on your discussion this week, but unfortunately I will be on a plane right at the time you planned the forum.  I won't have a computer with me so I will have to catch up when I return.  It's also Valentine's weekend.  Oh, my, it is really going to be hard not to be tempted!

I stepped off the beach for Super Bowl and the extra salt is reminding me to get off the broadwalk and back on the beach.  I'm up from 162.8 to 164.  Darn salt!

Hi all!  I only lost 1/2 pound this week (192 down to 191.5), but it is on the down side, so I am not complaining.  I have a lot on my plate right now family-wise, so I am really estatic that I actually lost -- I was dreading stepping on that scale I can tell you!  I plan to continue focusing on healthy eating, that is, plenty of fresh vegetables and lean meats, and staying away from processed foods and white breads and pasta.  This regimen is working well for me so far.  I am also still struggling with portion control, but I can report that it IS getting easier.  Good luck to all this week, and thanks for the great support!!

I was most impressed with your words of wisdom and your inspirational messages. Most of January, I sat at the hospital with my mom and I am trying to get back on track with SB and my exercise. I have gained 6 pounds, but my body is showing the lack of exercise and my size 14's are getting tight, so I am turning myself around. Your words encouraged me a lot. Best of luck to you.

Hi Richard,
I am checking in at 196, no weight loss this week but I will not get discouraged.  I missed out on week 6 because of work but I will read what I missed out on.  Talk to you next Friday!
