I don't know that I've ever tasted canned greens or that I have ever seen them up here in the frozen tundra (LOL)!

hello, quick question, I am on my 5th week and I am still on one starch and one fruit a day since I have not really lost much weight. I am guessing I should go ahead and increase maybe? what do you think?

As usual, the hour has flown by.  I appreciate the lively participation by all of my wonderful Friday cyberpals.

Thank you, Kindy, for your participation and help!

Don't forget to take advantage of getting feedback on a daily meal plan. Details on that are back in the opener!

Also, don't forget to weigh in!

See you next week -- same time; same place!

In the mean time, keep those feet firmly planted on the Beach, and have a wonderful weekend!

Oh dear!  Sorry about the gain... but, the good news is that we know how to get ourselves back under control!  I know you'll do it and I'll be waiting to hear good things next week.

Glad that the company was fun!

Hi Sophie!

Yes, I'd make the move to 2 of each - particularly if you are finding that one of each is not triggering cravings for you.

It'll be slow -- the last pounds are the hardest to lose!  Sigh... I am living proof of that.  But I'm also proof that with patience and persistence it DOES come off!

It's easy to grow in the kitchen window. Even way up north here. I love it sprinkled in salads.

The music isn't classical...in fact the name is a bit of a misnomer.  The music is in the background and I'd call it "elevator music".  But she is always in thesee fabulous places like Jamaica and Mexico.  It's a combination of a few different disciplines.  I cannot express how much mobility I've gotten back and I know it is this program. My goal is to become a certified instructor.

Thanks for the answer, I will go ahead and do that and pay close attention to the reactions. I also work out quite a bit, so I might be in "retaining" mode.

I love to toss the in the shell edamame in hot sesame oil, red pepper flakes, ginger and salt. Oh man!  (don't need very much oil...it's just a quick toss in a non stick skillet on high and then into the bowl.  Spicy!

What i found when I went back to phase 1 is that's when I got into a "food rut".  I am loosing weight on phase 2 but NOT as fast as phase 1.  But the "food rut" is not there any more.  Hope you have better success!!

Hi Carolyn,

Almost everyone has this lovely "quick" and very motivating "water weight" loss in phase 1.  That's the good news... the bad news is that once the water is released from our glycogen stores, it's gone... and that is when the fat burning begins.  The "real" (fat) losses happen in phase 2 -- at the very healthy rate of between .5 and 2 pounds per week.  The more we have to lose, the faster it comes off.  When I weighed 244, the weight was coming off at the average rate of 2 pounds a week (but I was also exercising as hard as I could for at least 90 minutes per day).  To go from 125 to 110 (the "vanity pounds" as I call them -- not because they aren't important, but because they weren't necessary to make me healthy) too me more than a year!

Slow and steady wins the race!

Linda

If you get Greek yogurt again, try mixing it with the zero calorie chocolate dip they sell in the diabetic section of the grocery store.  The combined texture makes a satisfying low-calorie dessert
