What if... Discussion

I was cooking this morning and decided to take a picture of my breakfast. Then I got to thinking about eating food and taking pictures for week 4...

What if we had to take pictures of all our meals and posted them here for all to see. (I'm not proposing we do that) however what if...

Would we differently? How would it change our behavior? I thought this might be a good topic for discussion.

Hope your week is going well!

I would love it, because I love to see photos of food, LOL!

But I suspect it would be a little bit like the folks who agree with themselves to post their food log - the good, bad, and ugly - every day without fail.  I used to do that myself, and my pact with myself to report everything was often enough to prevent me from eating someting off-plan...I didn't want to write it down!

I don't post my log very often (hardly at all) these days.  I figure the "loggers" assume that means I'm eating off plan!

Of course, you can get around either system.  I could choose to not write down the piece of cake I have for dessert...or I could take a photo of my meal without it!

I'm all for posting photos of our meals though - they are often so darn pretty!

Teresa,
If I had to post all my meals it would for sure make me more accountable, and I am sure I would think twice about what I am putting in my mouth.

Just like when I post on a thread...this is my exercise plan for the next week...I own it...and I do it.  It makes me more accountable.

I hope i have answered your questions...I think it would make us more accountable...but I think just writing down what I eat helps me a lot.  That is what I am doing this week, with my exercise set back...I am really counting on my meal plans until my ankle heals.

I think it would at the least make us think more about what we are eating.  As for me, if I had to do that I probably would just skip meals because of lack of time for photographing them.  LOL.

Funny! It was just a hypothetical question. I was just wondering about some of those meal, like last night, that I sure wouldn't  put in front of a camera. We went down to my daughter's campus for dinner and it was worse the OCB. Oh my, you would have all laughed then said "what the heck were you thinking"!

It sounds like a good idea and I agree with the general opinion that it would make you more accountable but Idk if I could do it just bcz sometimes I'm forced to eat something not on the diet and I would be too embarrassed LOL It's always something isn't it?

I pretty much each SBD Friendly all the time and try to make good choices when I have to eat away from home or someone else's cooking.   It may not be served up pretty at all, though, and may be sitting beside my computer.  :-)

I love the idea, it would be time saving for me than keeping a food log, snap a picture. Great way to stay accountable and will make you think twice when you go off your plan.
