What about on your home page just above the quick links section on the right hand side?
Good luck

I'm not sure there is truly a "live chat" area, however, some of the groups are very active.  I just joined the "Turning Leaves" and it seems replies come very quickly there.  If you find a live chat area, I'd like to know as well.

If you go to your home page, there is a discussion on the right side (you may have to scroll down a bit) that talks about the Getting Started chats (I think that's what they are called) and how you can chat with a nutritionist.  There is a link there that says something like "check out the chat" and when you click, a  little window comes up where you type in your name.  After you type your name and click to join, you'll be in the live chat with other members and a nutritionist.

You can also go there (and type your name to join) even when no live chat is taking place, and read the transcripts from chats from the past.  I did that yesterday, reading the questions posted and answered from Wednesday night's chat.

Hope that helps!

Jean, thanks!   How are you doing these days?  I haven't had time to get onto any other thread since I joined the challenge, esp. since for the last two evenings I could not even access the site to respond to the emails I got about getting SBD replies.  A small screen at the top just kept telling me they were working on the site and hoped to get it up soon......ugh.

Cindy, whatever they did, if anything, it hasn't helped a bit. Your message to me went to Richard. My message regarding the site being down were huge. The whole screen.

I'm doing good, but starving today, or craving today, and don't know why.

So far, I'm being good but I've only one fruit which was an  apple eaten with cheese, and no starches today..so don't get the cravings.

It's so nice to see your ticker in the 180's...just hang in there 'cause the 170's are on the way!

I going to go and try my hand at making some homemade Hummus now.
See you later.

Let me know how your hummus turns out.  I have two cans of chick peas as I was once going to try but didn't.

Turned out great. Since I bought my Tahini...I found a recipe to make my own...so when my store bought Tahini is gone, I'll make that homemade Tahini and then make the Hummus.

I also cook my own dried beans as they are so much cheaper. When you drain the beans, save the juice to use in making the Hummus. I didn't have any so I used ff Yogurt when was good and one can also use Chicken broth for the moisture.

My husband liked it, but next time I'll try adding ripe olives.
Just experiment and enjoy.

Right, I get about equal to 4 or more cans from a $.99 bag of beans. But, I like to make all my beans from dried beans because I like to wash them myself before cooking. I don't know what they do in the cannery.Besides, they taste better and have a nicer texture if I make them.

I cook a lot of my beans in chicken broth with a bit of diced onion and have that added flavor. Or I make white beans in chicken broth and diced onion and then add Coke BBQ Sauce for stove top baked beans. BBQ Sauce is 1/2 diet coke and half sf ketchup simmered until thick (no calories and good)

Cooking is my favorite thing to do so I love doing all that.
