Are the bars gluten free?

 
The new bars are not gluten free. We will be launching new gluten-free bars early next year. At this point no one really knows the number of people who may be gluten sensitive. Many people report non-specific symptoms consistent with gluten intolerance. The gluten-free bars that we are currently developing will be great options for people with a gluten intolerance.

Are the bars high in sodium?

South Beach Diet Meal Bars are 180 calories, Snack Bars are 100 calories, Protein Fit Cereal Bars range from 130 to 140 calories and Fiber Granola Bars are 120 calories.

Are the bars vegan-friendly?

 
All of the bars contain a source of milk and some contain sources of both milk and egg.

Our Meal Bars contain 12 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber, our Cereal Bars contain 9 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber. Snack bars contain 6 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber and Fiber Bars contain 9 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. Where can I buy the bars? Are they available online?

Why can't I find the bars in my local store?

 
These South Beach Diet Bars are brand new and not all stores are able to get them on the shelves at the same time. By mid-January 2012, most of the South Beach Diet Bars will be in nationwide distribution.Click here for a current list of stores that carry the new South Beach Diet bars.

How much do they cost?

 
Retail prices are set by individual stores, and therefore vary by chain. Look for the new South Beach Diet bars in your favorite local food, drug and mass merchandise stores. All of our bars come packed five to a box.

Are there going to be more flavors or other products offered in the future?

Are the ingredients from the United States?

 
While the majority of our ingredients are produced in the US we do source some ingredients from other parts of the world. We apply the same stringent quality standards to all our ingredients regardless of the source.

What should I do if there is a bar missing from the package?

What should I do if there's something wrong with one of the bars?

 
We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We at South Beach Diet produce all of our products to the highest quality level. Please return the defective product, if you have it, so that we can perform a quality investigation. Call us at 877-303-7696 and provide your name and address, the product type (for example, Chocolate Peanut Butter Meal Bars), the lot number and expiration date (found on the package flap by the words, "Best If Used By") and we will send you a postage paid envelope for sending the product, along with your receipt, if you still have it.

What are the available flavors?

 
South Beach Diet Meal Bars are available in Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Snack Bars come in Whipped Chocolate Almond and Whipped Peanut Butter. Our Protein Fit Cereal Bars are available in Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Cinnamon Raisin. Fiber Bars are available in Chocolate.

Can children eat the bars?

 
Yes, they are great tasting and contain no artificial flavors or sweeteners. Please note, however, that the bars are not meal substitutes for children. Children’s meals should comply with USDA recommended nutrition for children.

Are these products safe for pregnant women and nursing mothers?

 
Pregnant and nursing mothers should eat a balanced diet in accordance with the advice of their doctor. South Beach Diet bars contain no artificial flavors, sweeteners or sugar alcohols and contain good sources of protein and fiber.

Do you recommend these bars for diabetics?

 
The South Beach Diet bars are a good source of protein and fiber and contain 8 grams of sugar or less, depending on which bar you choose. However, if you have diabetes or any other health condition that may require dietary restrictions, check with your doctor first.
